Pamela Carter
After a 30 year career as teacher and artist in Montreal, and more recently in Toronto, Pamela has now settled in Prince Edward County, two hours east of Toronto, moving here in 2009.
Already well known for its award winning wineries and 5 star restaurants along the famous Taste Trail, Prince Edward County is also home to the well established Arts Trail and the Studio Tour which include over 50 artists/artisans with excellent reason!
The entire county is a feast for the eyes.
From winding country roads and lanes bordered by ancient trees, lilacs and wild flowers, to moss covered split rail fences, crumbling silos and barns that beg to be painted; from craggy shorelines and little town harbours to the famous sand dunes of Sandbanks Provincial Park.

While these scenes are irresistible subject material for any painter, it is also the town main streets, the shop fronts, the cafes and sidewalk scenes that inspire. Visitors and locals alike often find Pamela on a quiet corner, notably in Wellington, capturing an arresting view of the town they may have, until that moment, taken for granted.
Painting mainly in oils, Pamela’s works can be found locally in Sidestreet Gallery, Wellington, and in Arts on Main Gallery in Picton.
Additionally, as part of the Studio Tour, visitors are welcomed, by appointment, into her studio in the town of Wellington, just steps from Main Street.
Pamela's work is also represented by the following galleries:
- Prince Edward County Studio & Gallery Tour 2010
- Morris Trainor Gallery, 17 Ocean Avenue, Kennebunkport, Maine, USA
- Arts on Main Gallery, Picton, Ontario
